Give bees a chance
Our bees are in crisis - how can we help to protect our hives and keep honey alive?
Our ecosystems depend on bees to sustain our planet and pollinate our plants - they play a crucial role in the life cycle of our natural world, with the added bi-product of delicious and authentically sourced honey. It’s important to us that our honey is the product of responsible bee care and management - our connections to local beekeepers in Hungary, Transylvania, and Western Romania represent a relationship developed in trust.
We know our bees are being taken care of, with the results being high-quality, pure, and aromatic acacia honey. There’s an estimated 20,000 known species of bee globally, with the common honeybee only accounting for one of those.

Like most honeybees, our beekeepers manage our colonies in hives, harvesting the honey as we redistribute it to the UK, all whilst providing them with a safe home to reside in.
Our food security depends on a thriving bee population - should we replace their labour with manual pollination, it would cost the UK an estimated £1.8 billion to carry out the same work.

Despite an average worker bee only producing about 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime, the impact of its travel reaches over 2000 flowers in one day, greatly increasing the chances of a plant producing fruits or vegetables. How can we protect an insect that provides us with such an invaluable resource?
Globally, bees are facing threats through the use of toxic pesticides, the impact of climate change, and increasing habitat losses. Helping bees not only involves buying from ethical beekeepers and their hives, but extends into filling your garden with bee-friendly flowers, providing them with shelter, and stopping the use of pesticides in your green spaces.
In placing an order with us, you can rest assured that our bees are taken care of, and are provided with the resources and environment needed for them to flourish.
